Join us on Saturday, October 5th, for a special 'Come Closer' morning with speaker, writer and mental health specialist Rachael Newham.

Rachael is a gifted communicator and author who specialises in the Theology of Mental Health. Author of two books, Learning to Breathe and And Yet (published by SPCK), she has worked in several roles across the faith sector, including as the Mental Health Friendly Church Project Manager at Kintsugi Hope. Rachael is also the founder of the Christian mental health charity ThinkTwice, which she ran for over a decade.
We're meeting at Newport Pagnell Baptist Church starting at 9:30 am and finishing around 12:30 pm. The morning will include two speaking sessions from Rachael, with an extra element from the Come Closer team, and of course, because it's Come Closer, some delicious brunch pastries, fruit and drinks. The event is free, with donations welcomed on the day.
COME CLOSER BLESSING PICK-UP: Each December at Come Closer, we deliver over 120 parcels to three local charities - MK Act (women's refuge), MK Storehouse and MK Money Lifeline. Each parcel is beautifully wrapped at our packaging morning in November (Saturday 16th), containing lovely beauty/toiletry products (around 35 parcels are for men). So, for Come Closer in October, would you pick up some donations to donate - things like branded shower gels, hand creams, hand soaps, body lotion, deodorant sprays, face cream, etc?
So, why not invest a Saturday morning in yourself and bring along some friends?
Come Closer is a multi-generational women's organisation. Our aim is to provide spaces and resources that encourage, equip and strengthen women to come closer to God in their daily lives, and nuture friendships with other women who will cheer them on.
