Ocean Friendly Gardens - The Criteria Checklist is Easier Than You Think 🌱
At this month's meeting, learn about Ocean Friendly Gardens, take a tour (next door to Beerfoot Brewery) of one of Groundswell's community gardens and hear from some of our members about how they are gardening in their spaces. Guest speakers include Groundswell's Garden Director and our members who have pinned the first OFGs in Galveston to the Surfrider OFG map! https://www.surfrider.org/programs/ocean-friendly-gardens

📍 Location: Backroom of Beerfoot Brewery from 6 pm - 8 pm. At 6pm, we will meet at McGuire Dent Community Garden (go outside of Beerfoot, turn left on 28th, and then look for the garden on the right near the playground).
🌮 After an hour in the garden, we'll walk back over to Beerfoot and enjoy light bites. Bring some reusable plateware/utensils to help us cut down on waste.

• We'd love to see you to celebrate end-of-the-year - find out more, and vote on, a holiday social idea!
• The Texas Legislature will kickoff it's 90th Session in January 2027. Bill filing starts in November 2026. Learn what you can do to support healthy oceans, waves, and beaches for the Lone Star State.
