October Chapter Chasers Book Club: Yarn is Everything!

Chapter Chasers Book Club is designed for emerging readers (ages 6-9) who are chasing the thrill of reading their first chapter books! We encourage both independent reading and family read-alouds for these selections, with the goal of getting kids excited about reading and fostering connections with a community of readers. Our 20-minute book discussion is followed by a themed read aloud and craft or game.

Our October discussion will center on the newest in Jasper Rabbit's Creepy Tales! chapter book series, Yarn is Everything! This is the least scary book in the series and they are all designed as standalone reads. As a slightly spooky book, it is a perfect for getting in the Halloween spirit! It is in the same world, with the same creators - Aaron Reynolds and Peter Brown - as our favorites Creepy Carrots! and Creepy Pair of Underwear!, making it a great choice for those starting to get into chapter books as it has familiar storytelling and visuals.

Parents are welcome to stay on the Junior side and participate or browse the adult side, but they must remain on-site.
