Join us for Ruthmere's October Book Club meeting! New members WELCOME!
Do you love reading books about history? So do we! That's why we created the Ruthmere Book Club - a place where avid readers and history buffs can unite to discuss the stories of the past.
At the October meeting, we will discuss "Year of Wonders" by Geraldine Brooks (Fiction). Please email book club leaders Tehillah Moses ([email protected]) or Linnea Wuorenmaa ([email protected]) if you are interested in joining the meeting or learning more!
SYNOPSIS:
"When an infected bolt of cloth carries plague from London to an isolated village, a housemaid named Anna Frith emerges as an unlikely heroine and healer.
Through Anna's eyes we follow the story of the fateful year of 1666, as she and her fellow villagers confront the spread of disease and superstition.
