About this Event

🐾 Bark Buddies K-9 Club 🐾
Calling all 4-H members who love dogs! Whether you're curious about canine careers, training techniques, or just want to bond with your pup, this club is for you.

We meet every 3rd Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Oconee Extension Office.

What We Do:

  • Elect club officers who then lead meetings
  • Organize fundraisers and community service projects
  • Explore exciting dog-related topics like:
    • Police K-9 units
    • Obedience and agility training
    • Grooming and care
    • Breed identification
    • Showmanship and more!

📅 Upcoming Topics (Work in Progress):

2026

  • June 16: training orientation & information meeting for summer obedience training: learn how youth and their dogs will grow through the following weeks and finish prepared to compete at the Foothills Heritage Fair. PLEASE - NO DOGS AT THE FIRST MEETING! Attending this meeting is recommended though not required to register for the course. If you wish to register directly, please visit https://2026OconeeK9Training.eventbrite.com Note that the $25 training course fee for a dog & youth covers their entry into the Foothills show (if they wish to compete)

June 22 – September 22– Club on hold for Obedience Training & Fair Prep (dependent on fair dates)

Refund statement: This club does not currently collect dues.

Membership requirement: Youth MUST be (4-H membership is $15 for Sept 1 - August 31, renewal is annual. Youth who renew in September receive a free T-shirt).

Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, teachers, or other chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
