Just as the tides are governed by the celestial pull of the moon, our bodies—composed of nearly 70% water—are deeply rhythmic. Join Michael at his dedicated Gong Studio for a "Spirit of the Sea" session: a psycho-acoustic immersion designed to wash away the hectic grid of modern life and return you to your natural, fluid state of being.
The White Sound of the Ocean
In this session, Michael utilises the Ocean Drum, an exquisite instrument that replicates the mesmerising sounds of rolling and crashing waves. This creates what physicists call White Sound.This broad-frequency sound works to:
Cleanse the Body, Like a physical tide, the vibrations flow through and saturate your cells, breaking down blocked, stagnant energy.
Soothe the Brain: The rhythmic "surf" encourages your brainwaves to transition from active Beta into the deep, restorative states of Theta and Delta. These altered states of consciousness are well researched and are shown to trigger the release of several happy hormones and chemicals by the brain to reduce tension and stress, improve blood pressure, elevate our moods, calming our minds, whilst promoting healing and wellbeing and reducing pain.. Your Journey Through the Tides
Your experience begins with the gentle sparkle of Koshi Air Chimes and Sea Shell Chimes, followed by a specific, modified Deep Belly Breathwork technique. This advanced breathing removes more CO2 and stale energy than any other method, preparing your nervous system for the deep immersion to come.

Preparation
If you have not experienced a Gong Bath before don’t worry, and even with this Ocean Surf event there is no ‘getting wet’. The term ‘bath’ relates to you being ‘bathed’ in sound waves. A Gong Bath is a very unique experience where it can feel different each time, and also different for everyone present.
What to Bring. Wear warm, loose-fitting clothes. Whether you choose a chaise longue, a recliner, or a yoga mat, you are invited to "unplug" and simply be.
Blankets, cushions, eye masks, yoga mats and filtered or bottled water are all available, with nothing for you to bring except yourself, a smile and an open heart.
The Unfolding Journey of Sound & Spirit
Under Michael's expert guidance, your session is a deliberate journey into profound healing and deep rest.
The Descent into Alpha
The journey begins with Michael setting a sacred intention. You will be guided into specific, rhythmic deep breathing, a by stimulating the Vagus nerve and calming your nervous system.
"Closing our eyes & Slowing our breathing down is a free ticket to an Altered state of consciousness" (New Scientist May 22 .2021 p. 37)
Holding your eyes closed, your brainwaves begin to slow (shifting from Beta to Alpha). You will receive Reiki-charged crystals for continuous energy healing and vibration elevation, followed by a short Qigong Inner Smile meditation to direct healing energy to your chakras.
The Core Transformation: Theta & Delta
As the Drum's primal rhythm and the Om chanting commence, your consciousness shifts into the deep Theta and Delta states—the very realm where the body’s true healing begins and the conscious mind takes its rest.

The Ocean Drum
Micheal's Ocean Drum harnesses the power of rhythmic waves to promote relaxation, meditation, and overall well-being, and produce an highly immersive experience that transports you to the tranquil shores of the ocean, and taking you into a deep state of relaxation and inner peace, and re-activate our happy childhood memories of the seaside.
The Ocean Drum is our gateway to a world of healing vibrations and harmonious melodies. Micheal's exquisite instrument combines the mesmerising sounds of rolling and crashing waves. These Drums create what we call white sound, which is really good for breaking down and cleaning away blocked, stagnant energy that is trapped in the body. This white sound can also influence the fluids in our body in a positive way. And as our body is almost 70 % water the Ocean drum alows for a cleaner and quicker flow of energy in the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, bladder and even in the skin.

The Gongs
Gongs are one of the oldest and most powerful therapeutic and transformational instruments on this world. For thousands of years these timeless instruments have been used for, ceremonies, rituals, prayers, and meditation. Sound Healing can raise our bodies vibration, and at the same time slow down our brainwaves, together this greatly enhances the body’s natural ability to regenerate and heal itself, and reach its optimal state of functioning, while offering a psycho-acoustic gateway to a heightened state of consciousnesses, as the sound frequencies surpass the intellectual part of the brain before travelling to the core of the bodies cellular system, where the healing qualities can be fully absorbed and assimilated.
The Gong Produces a Huge Plasma Field Around Everyone Present
The late theoretical physicist "David Bohm" discovered that when a Gong is played, the metal becomes “excited”, and the electrons become highly charged electromagnetically, forming a huge plasma field to be created off the Gong and both the player and listeners become part of that field. When the vibrational activity of the Gong ends, the electrons ‘go back’ to their original atoms, and once the Gong comes to rest the energy field collapses. When the Gong is revved up again the Plasma field expands and intensifies.
