Ocean Action Leadership Camp: Community Education Day

Join us for a special day celebrating youth-led ocean action and community connection! As part of Algalita’s Ocean Action Leadership Camp, 60 Long Beach youth have spent their summer exploring marine biology, plastic pollution, and environmental leadership. Now, they’re ready to share what they’ve learned with you!

🌊 Event Highlights:

• Interactive youth-led stations and student displays
• Light refreshments
• A community slideshow showcasing camp highlights
• Tours of the Microplastics Lab at the Moore Institute for Plastic Pollution Research
• Tabling by local sustainability and youth empowerment organizations
• Pending: Free water bike rides

We’re inviting our community - of all ages - to join us and connect with these passionate youth, their families, scientists and community leaders. This is a great opportunity to inspire and be inspired by the next generation of environmental leaders.
