Enjoy an evening of superb Rhythm & Blues talents arranged by the Golden Gate Blues Society. The finest musicians and singers come together to represent the real Oakland sound.

ALTHEA BATTLE
East Bay choir director and voice instructor, Soul and R&B powerhouse Althea Battle will astonish listeners and wonder where they have been hiding her. Lead singer and band leader of cover band Platinum Status, she entertains at parties, weddings, and corporate events.

NIECEY LIVINGSINGLE
One of The Bay Area's finest singers of any genre, Niecey splits her time "between the Bay & The Vey," earning a coveted and prestigious residency in Las Vegas, and leading her own band The Obamas.

MICHAEL SKINNER
Singer, drummer, and bandleader Big Mike lays down gospel, funk, blues, soul, R&B, originals, oldies, and standards with incomparable authority reminiscent of the Great Buddy Miles.

BOBBY YOUNG
Guitar player, singer, writer, and bandleader Big Chief leads his own band The Bobby Young Project, continuing to define the world famous Oakland Blues - playing side to Sugar Pie DeSanto, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy McCracklin, Cool Papa, Craig Horton, Maria Muldaur. The group was named the 2016 Blues Band of the year.

DANIELLE WANSLEY-STRONG
They call her Drummer Girl. Little else is known of this very busy superb soul, blues and R&B drummer but that she thanks God for drums every day.

MIKE SPIDERMAN ROBINSON
A multi-platinum keyboardist, writer, arranger, producer, and bandleader, Spiderman played keyboards on the R&B classic, "Very Special," by Debra Laws, now sampled by a host of artists on millions of recordings, including the multi-platinum hit, "All I Have," by Jennifer Lopez and LL Cool J.

A local favorite on the wedding circuit, Spiderman has performed with the Bay Area’s top party bands, including KJAllstars, Mixxed Company, and Lucky Devil's, and on tours with John Lee Hooker Jr, Kenny Neal, Joe Louis Walker, Cameo, Frankie Beverly and Maze, ConFunkSun, GQ, Karen White, and Tom Browne.

MICHAEL ROGERS
Master of old school funk, blues bassist Michael Rogers is a stalwart figure on the Oakland scene.

Tickets are $30 general admission. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.

Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
