🥄 Warm Bowls & Big Smiles: The Oak Leaf Chili Cook-Off! 🍁
Fall is in the air, and that means one thing: it’s chili season! Join us at the Oak Leaf Festival for a delicious afternoon of friendly competition, local flavor, and community fun.
You must supply your own heat source. No generators will be allowed.
• It is the responsibility of each entrant to comply with the Fayette County Health Department (304-574-1617) by having a food handlers’ card.
• Please arrive between 4:00 – 4:30 p.m. to sign in and set up your chili. NO early arrivals please.
You will need to bring your own small tasting bowls or cups (we recommend the 2 oz. serving size) and plastic spoons for your chili.
• A table is provided for each entry. You may bring other items to sell from your table.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the best tasting chili in each category:
1st Place $500
2nd Place $300
3rd Place $200
Crowd Favorite $100
Queens Choice Trophy
Mayor’s Choice Trophy
All entries must be received no later than Friday, September 4, 2026.
