Our tiny Horowhenua team is planning to head out to the Foxton cemetery on ANZAC Day. We’ll be working on cleaning and painting the plots and headstones of 9 local veterans, including one from the Boer War. We would welcome anyone who would like to pitch in and help us!We are happy to share our skills, so if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to do what we do, please feel free to join us.
If you’d like to get involved, it would be helpful to bring along a bucket and scrubbing brush, scrapers, brush/shovels (plastic or wooden tools only please), your lunch, and a willingness to get a bit mucky for a good cause 😉
The names of our intended projects are below; if there are family members who would either like to take these on themselves, or have any concerns, please contact us.
We’ll be there by 9am, whatever the weather (unless it’s really persisting down)
