COURSE DETAILS:
BRAND NEW BASKETS installed. Daily course upgrades between now and the event.
Specific event course info will be sent to entrants via email and on social media in the coming days.
Also keep a watch out on the FB event page for drone flyover videos of SOME of the holes.
The event course will be open for practice from Mid week of the event. Follow the course via Udisc (event course will be slightly different to the regular course currently on visible). Green fee's apply for all days except for Friday to Monday of the event.
All divisions will play at 3 rounds of this amazing, multi layout course.
GROUP A - MPO / MA1 / MP40 / MP50
3 x rounds of 18, playing from the Pro Tees (Gold Flags during the event)
GROUP B - FPO / FA1 / MA40 / MA50 / MA60 / MA2
3 x Rounds of 18, playing from the Championship Tees (Blue Flags during the event)
GROUP C - MA3 / FA3 / Juniors / FA2 / FA40 / FA50 / FA60
3 x Rounds of 18, playing from Advanced Tees (Green Flags during the event)
Just over a year old, "Buckley" is an absolute gem of a course that has been expertly integrated into the Buckley (ball) Golf Course in the rural town of Shannon.
EVENT DETAILS
Course managers Jesse and Jonny have stepped in to help the NZDG find a venue for the 2026 North Island Champs, and they enlisted the help of the event veterans at Disc Shop NZ.
The focus will be on a very well run, yet low key North Island Champs, highlighting a disc golf course that speaks for itself.
THURSDAY COURSE MARKED - Green Fee applies
FRIDAY PRACTISE DAY UNTIL DARK
SATURDAY Round 1 Tee Times from 9am /Please Check in 10minutes before your tee time
For round 1 we ask that you come and see event staff in the Disc Shop NZ check-in zone (at Hole 1) 5-10 minutes before your listed Tee Time
Only players on your tee time will be in that space for that 10 minute period. There will be a small snack pack to collect and some up to date event course and event info to understand before starting. Please do not check in prior to your tee time.
SUNDAY Round 2 Tee Times from 9am
All players must be present in the Disc Shop NZ check-in zone at Hole 1 AT LEAST 5 minutes before your tee tim
MONDAY Round 3 Tee times from 8am - Prize giving approximately 3.30pm
All players must be present in the Disc Shop NZ check-in zone at Hole 1 AT LEAST 5 minutes before your tee time
Tee time windows: Exact tee times announced nightly by 8pm via the PDGA link above
NB:
The Disc Shop NZ check-in zone (at hole 1) has practise baskets and driving nets for players next to tee off only. All other players please use the main warm up area.
Golf Club Bar can not sell to non-club members (for licensing reasons out of our control).
Golf Club food available for purchase throughout the weekend.
Major course supporter - Shannon Four Square is only 5 minutes away and has literally everything you will need for food, drink and more.
TAP WATER IS NOT DRINKABLE - We will have some drinkable water onsite but please fill up prior to arriving as well.
PDGA Tier Status confirmed as B-Tier thanks to a donation from NZDG for the event.
