May 10. 2024 the rock band Gjenferd from Bergen, Norway released their self-titled debut album on Apollon Records. The album hit number 4. on Doom Charts top albums for May 2024, and the single “Starless” got a 5/6 review in the Norwegian newspapers Dagsavisen and Bergens Tidende.
The band is inspired by the heavy sound of the 70s, when hammond organs and walls of guitar amplifiers ruled the music scene. Long evenings filled with obscure records and jam sessions have culminated in a sonic explosion of robust hard hitting riffs, electric noise and ridiculously catchy vocal harmonies.
