About this Event
Join Mr. Scruff for a manchester jazz festival 2-room special with Nu Genea (DJ + Keys) playing for 2 hours on the main stage, as well as getting involved in some B2B action, digging from a box of Soul/Jazz/Disco/Funk/House/Techno/Afro/Latin/Reggae/Hip Hop/Breaks/Balearic and lots more. Atiké, Léna C & Obeka take charge in the bar stage for a 6-hour Me Gusta throwdown. All welcome, regardless of age, nationality, mobility, gender or sexuality. Regulars and first timers getting down together... mixed up music for a lovely mix of people!
Nu Genea is the artistic project from musicians/DJs Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina. Inspired by obsessive record digging, their infectious, feel-good live project brings music from the past and reignites it in an original groovy equation inspired by disco, funk, boogie, electronic, dub, folk and the Napoli music scene. At Band on the Wall they will be sharing their inspirational music discoveries, adding live keys for a fruity cocktail.
Ninja Tune recording artist & DJ Mr. Scruff has been running his regular Keep It Unreal party in Manchester for nearly 25 years, sharing a massive range of music with a keen sense of fun & surprise.
All 6 artists bring a sense of musical discovery, shared with fun and passion. We can’t wait to see what they cook up together on the night!
