Firearm Safety: Intensive instruction on the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling.
Pistol Mechanics: Nomenclature, operation, and differences between revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
Ammunition & Storage: How cartridges work and best practices for safe storage at home.
Marksmanship Fundamentals: Mastering grip, stance (e.g., Weaver, Isosceles), sight alignment, and trigger control.
What to Bring
You will need a few essentials for a great day on the firing line:
Eye and ear protection (We will Supply if needed)
Appropriate, closed-toe range attire
A pistol (revolver or semi-automatic) and roughly 100-200 rounds of factory ammunition. (Note: Instructors often have loaner firearms and ammo available if you don't have your own yet).
What You Earn
Upon successful completion of the course, you will take a nationally standardized exam and earn an official NRA Course Completion Certificate. In many states, this class or its certificate is the perfect stepping stone to fulfill the training requirements for a Concealed Carry License.
