What does it mean to have no country to call your own?
Statelessness is one of the most overlooked human rights issues of our time — yet it affects thousands of people across Europe, shaping every aspect of their daily lives.
On 18 June, UCSIA invites you to an evening of reflection and dialogue on statelessness, citizenship, and the limits of legal protection.
Keynote speaker Christiana Bukalo, founder of Statefree e.V. and stateless person herself, will open the evening with a lecture exploring the historical, philosophical and contemporary dimensions of statelessness.
She will be followed by a moderated panel debate with Gert Bruininkx (NANSEN), Clara Van Thillo (KU Leuven) and Lies Vandervoort (CGRA/CGVS).
The programme will be in English. Registration is free.
