Nourished by Nature: Foraging for Wild Edibles
We’ll wander through the Healing Garden, the Garden of Eatin’, and the Four Winds Food Forest as we learn to recognize edible and medicinal plants thriving all around us. Along the way, you’ll taste, touch, and mindfully harvest while discovering how these landscapes can restore calm, sharpen focus, and rekindle our relationship with ourselves and the land.
Your guides are co-authors of the recently published book "Low Maintenance Eco-Gardens." As we explore, they’ll share simple ideas and resources for creating your own at-home grazing landscape—spaces where beauty, food, and well-being grow together. (Books are available for purchase in the Prairiewoods gift shop.)
No prior foraging experience needed. Come curious. Leave rooted.
We’ll cover a fair amount of ground, so please contact Prairiewoods at (319) 395-6700 or [email protected] before class or leave a note during registration if mobility accommodations may be needed.
