Join us in Blyth for a double concert featuring the North Shields Guitar Orchestra and North Shields Folk Orchestra!This concert is being held to help raise money for the Blyth Foodbank. For a £1 ticket and optional charitable donation come down to Seaforth street for an evening you won't forget!
Both operating out of Yamaha Music School in North Shields, these two ensembles are collaborating to perform a double bill concert at Yamaha Music School Blyth.
Conducted by Michael Mather, the Guitar Orchestra was formed in 2025 and have rehearsed every Wednesday evening to put together a set of songs ranging from traditional English folk to local Geordie anthems.
The folk ensemble is led by Lucy Marsh, a multi-instrumentalist graduate of Newcastle University. Formed early this year, It brings together players with skills on a range of instruments, including the flute, violin and guitar.
