Participants raise pledges leading up to the event, and every dollar helps provide year-round, inclusive programming for Special Olympics Nebraska athletes in sports, health, education, and leadership.
❄️ What the Polar Plunge Is
The Polar Plunge is a signature fundraiser where participants raise pledges and then take a chilly winter icy dip to support Special Olympics Nebraska. It’s bold, fun, and community-driven, with teams and individuals often dressing in costumes and celebrating their impact.
❄️ What to Expect
Plungers must raise a minimum of $50 to participate and begin earning incentives. Costumes are encouraged, and North Platte will award:
• 🥇 Top 3 Fundraisers
• 🎭 Best Costume
Join us for a warm and lively celebration at Axes & Aces immediately following the plunge.
