Chloe Clarke Smith is an independent artist based in Baltimore who uses her music as a vehicle for activism in order to inspire, educate, and empower young composers of color to find their own unique voice. With a love for ethnomusicology, she hopes to enlighten the world to the music of BIPOC composers and further experiment with stretching the boundaries of harmony, space, and color in her own music.

Kevin Brewster is a saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and educator from Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a leader, he performs with his ensemble Black Renaissance, a collective dedicated to expanding the narrative of Black American Music through original compositions and new interpretations. As a sideman, Kevin has performed alongside artists such as Terri Lyne Carrington, Christian Sands, Jazzmeia Horn, and Patrice Rushen. He is a recent graduate of Michigan State University and is pursuing his master's as a recipient of the Graduate Jazz Fellowship at John Hopkins Peabody Conservatory under the mentorship of Sean Jones and Tim Green.
