Nordic Notes, A Stoughton Day Adventure
JULY TRIP

Departs from Dawson Sports Complex
Join us as we head to Stoughton to learn the story of their Norwegian settlers at the Norwegian Heritage Center. Next, our step on guide will join us as we travel around town learning more about Stoughton. We will then enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, we will learn more about the art of rosemaling by seeing a demonstration showcasing this beautiful and intricate Norwegian folk art. We will also learn about two other fascinating Scandinavian folk arts. Next, we will discover international chocolates from Yahara Chocolate, importer for several unique, made in country brands. We will sample several one of a kind flavors and learn stories behind each tasty treat. Our final stop is a tour of the 1901 Opera House. This Opera House hosts musical and theatrical performances throughout the season. After a full day of fun, we’ll head home with great memories.
Please note that this trip will need 40 people signed up by June 12 or it will be canceled due to a nonrefundable deposit required.
