Ron Monsma will share how he brings the ordinary to life in his artwork by using techniques guided by the Baroque masters. He will also discuss how his experience as a musician shaped his approach to creating dynamic compositions rich in symbolism and metaphor. He will also discuss the new directions his art has taken since retiring from IUSB, where he taught drawing and painting since 1997.
