Nonfiction Core Application Work Session In-Person
About this Event
About this workshop
Dig into your application alongside other filmmakers! This is both an opportunity to set aside dedicated time to make progress on your upcoming grant deadlines but a chance to get support on your stickiest points. Whether you come with specific needs for guidance or just the accountability of work in community, there’s room for you here!
There will be time to ask questions and discuss strategies with staff, guest filmmakers, and peers, as well as time to work quietly.
We'll break up into groups working on key sections of the Nonfiction Core Application:
The Big 3: Topic Summary, Film Summary, Artistic Approach
The Rest: Shorter questions from Filmmaker Statement to Intended Impact
Your Budget!

Notes on Building Accessibility: BAVC Media's offices are on the first floor of the 9th Street Independent Film Center building. There is a ramp from the front entrance to the lobby. The front door does not open automatically and remains locked at all times. A video intercom is provided to call staff to unlock or open the door. During events a staff member will be stationed at the door to ensure attendess can get in. All bathrooms in the building are wheelchair accessible.
