No Butts Day 2026

No Butts Day is a global movement to help reduce cigarette filter pollution. Trillions of cigarette butts end up in the environment each year making them the largest form of pollution worldwide. Clean Up Marion County wants to make a difference in our community, but we need your help!
We will be picking up cigarette butts along the Gateway Connector on Sunday, July 5. To beat the heat, we will start at 8:00 am and pick up as many cigarette butts as we can. Meet us at the Marion County Visitors Center. We will provide you with a vest, gloves, bucket, and picker. We will also have a water cooler and sunscreen.

If you are unable to attend this event, but would still like to help, pick up cigarette filters around your neighborhood or work. Let us know and we'll count those towards the total number of butts collected!
