This fantasy sci-fi animation from director Ralph Bakshi, set in an apocalyptic future world, is being screened past world style - on VHS.
From the ashes of a nuclear war, two twin brothers, both wizards, vie for control of the earth for different reasons. Avatar (voice of Bob Holt), a good elf, wants to use his magical powers to safeguard a peaceful future, while his evil mutant brother Blackwolf (Steve Gravers) will use all the technological weapons at his disposal to K*ll his brother and place Planet Earth under his domain.
Screening as part of NI Science Festival. Established in 2014, NI Science Festival has grown to become the largest celebration of its kind on the island of Ireland and in its relatively short lifespan became one of the leading Science Festivals in the whole of Europe.
