Drugoga petka u siječnju nove godine s nama je 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐙𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 iz kolektiva SIDE Art. Njezino gostovanje započinjemo performansom “1001 noć: NISAM tvoja Šeherzada”. Performans je ateistička, 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘳 i dekolonijalna alternativna interpretacija Šeherzadinih iskustava, lika iz poznate knjige "Tisuću i jedna noć". 🏰🥀🚩
Performans i rasprava koja će uslijediti usredotočit će se na intersekcijski feministički otpor prema aktualnoj geopolitici fanatično religioznih, diktatorskih režima i njihovih imperijalnih gospodara, od mizoginog kraljevstva Al Saud i terora rodnog apartheida i islamizma u Iranu te talibanskog režima do cionističkog imperijalnog patrijarhalnog mizoginog genocida nad Palestinom.
➜ 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 je umjetnica, međukulturna trenerica i istraživačica. Magistrirala je na temu uloge pokreta za prava žena u reformi javnih politika nakon Arapskog proljeća u Jordanu i Tunisu. Trenutno pohađa doktorski studij o intersekcijskim feminizmima i praksama socijalnog rada na Fakultetu za socijalni rad Sveučilišta u Ljubljani. Direktorica je Instituta za istraživanje i umjetnost Reka Si te članica umjetničkog kolektiva SIDE, koji hakira, otima i preoblikuje kulturne, umjetničke i političke scene iz perspektive intersekcijskog feminizma.
Performans i razgovor će biti 𝐧𝐚 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐤𝐨𝐦 𝐣𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐤𝐮!

On the second Friday of January of the new year we will host 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐙𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 of the SIDE Art Collective. Her visit to Zagreb will start with a performance of the “1001 nights of “NOT your Scheherazade“. NOT your Scheherazade is an atheist, queer, and decolonial alternative interpretation of Scheherazade from the book known as “The Arabian Nights: Tales from a Thousand and One Nights.” 🏰🥀🚩
The performance and the subsequent discussion will reflect on an intersectional feminist resistance against the current geopolitics of the fanatically religious, dictatorial regimes and their imperial masters, from the misogynist kingdom of Al Saud and the terror of gender apartheid and Islamism in Iran and of the Taliban to the Zionist imperial patriarchal misogynic genocide of Palestine.
➜ 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 (she) is a community arts worker, intercultural trainer, and researcher. She conducted her master’s studies on the role of women’s rights movements in reforming public policies after the Arab Spring in Jordan and Tunisia. Currently, she is conducting her doctoral studies on intersectional feminisms and social work practices at the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Ljubljana. She is the director of the Reka Si Research and Art Institute and a member of the SIDE art collective that hacks, hijacks, and recreates cultural, artistic, and political scenes from an intersectional feminist lens.
