The Ninth Leonidas Donskis Memorial Conference invites scholars, policymakers, students, and all those interested in the future of Europe to reflect on one of the defining questions of our time:
Can small and mid-sized states remain merely objects of geopolitical competition, or can they become active participants in shaping the international order?
As geopolitical uncertainty grows and international alliances are increasingly tested, the conference will explore how smaller nations can strengthen their position through cooperation, cultural ties, intellectual networks, and shared values. Drawing on the legacy of Leonidas Donskis, the discussions will examine whether solidarity can become not only a moral principle, but also a strategic advantage in a changing world.
