𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠'𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧’s Centre for Hellenic Studies, in collaboration with 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐳𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬 - 𝐔𝐊, will host an evening dedicated to the renowned Greek author 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐨𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐳𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬.
The event will feature:
• A welcome by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧 and 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐢, the Society’s UK representative.
• Following an exclusive screening of "The Last Voyage" directed by 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐳𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐮. Mr. Chatzistefanou will join us live on-screen to engage with the audience in a dynamic Q&A session
• A presentation by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐬 𝐎𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐬 on Kazantzakis’s themes of journey and transformation.
• An introduction to Kazantzakis by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧
𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 will chair the event and moderate the final Q&A.
We are also grateful for the assistance of 𝐊𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐮, the UK representative of the 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, in publicizing this event, which will be held under the auspices of the 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐊.
