Nick Herbison is a folk-rock artist from Hawke’s Bay, Aotearoa, whose music reflects his philosophical outlook and the internal weather systems he navigates. With acoustic guitar at the core of his songwriting, Herbison crafts introspective, life-affirming songs that explore courage, self-worth, and the ongoing journey toward inner peace. His style has been largely influenced by folk, blues, rock, roots and RnB. His music can uplift listeners toward their truest potential just as easily as it can offer a soft place to land when the world feels heavy — a calm oasis in a restless world.Over the past six years, Herbison has toured widely across New Zealand, steadily growing a dedicated audience drawn to his soothing vocals, warm melodies, and thoughtful lyricism. Most recently, he completed a 17-date solo tour supporting Melbourne blues troubadour Shaun Kirk.
A keen surfer and advocate for slowing down, Herbison is currently preparing for the release of his self-produced debut album Seek and Don’t Forget, due mid-2026.
With the support of band members Wills Vandermeent (bass), Ben Liley (guitar) and Aaron Sankey (Drums), Nick has prepared a set full of old and new material. With support from local Hawkes Bay band Ledger fronted by the incredibly gifted and charismatic Charlie Nimmo.
