About this Event
Join us for the Nicholas Nelson Memorial Walk, a community event dedicated to honouring the life and legacy of Nicholas Nelson.
On June 8, 2026, Nicholas tragically passed away. His loss has profoundly affected his family, friends, colleagues, patients, and the many people whose lives he touched through his compassion, kindness, and dedication to helping others.
Nick was a devoted husband, family member, friend, and paramedic whose life was rooted in service. Whether caring for patients, supporting colleagues, helping a friend in need, or spending time with those he loved, Nick consistently put others before himself.
Participants will walk alongside family, friends, healthcare professionals, first responders, and community members.
This walk aims to foster open conversations about mental health and remind those who may be struggling that they are never alone. All proceeds from this event will be donated to our local Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) branch.
Together we remember.
Together we heal.
Together we walk for hope.
**Please register by September 12 at 11:59 PM to guarantee your T-shirt. All registrations proceeds after this date will be allocated to CMHA and a T-shirt will not be provided.
💚 Everyone is Welcome
Registration is completely optional. Registration fees help cover T-shirt costs and support fundraising for CMHA. If you'd like to join us but aren't able to contribute financially, please don't feel pressured to pay. Everyone is welcome to walk and show their support. Please note that T-shirts are only available to registered participants.
