~ NEW YEAR, NEW FLOW ~Kickstart your year with creative movement at Island Circus Space! We're taking over the studio for a series of flow arts classes and workshops to help you elevate your practice and ignite your flow in 2025.
Join us on December 28th, January 2nd, and January 4th for a variety of dynamic workshops, where you’ll dive into different flow arts disciplines. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, we’ve got something for everyone.
Each day wraps up with a Flow & Glow Jam — a time to turn up the music, turn down the lights, practice what we've learned, and free flow together. Class participants get exclusive access to the jam for free, but don’t worry if you can't make the workshops — drop-in passes for the Flow & Glow Jam are available separately.

January 2nd, 6:10-7:10pm:
Take your poi spinning to the next level with this workshop designed for beginner to intermediate spinners!
For beginners, we’ll cover fundamental moves such as the basic weave, spinning in both directions (and maybe fountains or pendulums). For more intermediate spinners we'll look at linking tricks, timing, and direction changes, and focus on a trick(s) that may have stumped you. You’ll refine your flow, improve your technique, and deepen your understanding of poi spinning.
Whether you’re just starting or looking to enhance your existing skills, this session will leave you inspired and spinning with confidence.
Please bring your own poi if possible. We have a limited number of sets available to borrow—be sure to contact us in advance to reserve one. Come ready to level up and have some fun!
Cost: $25 + GST (class passes accepted)
