Learn to fix your own bike!

Come to Recyclistas to learn how to safely and effectively maintain, fix, and rebuild bicycles. Whether you are looking to better understand how your own bicycle works or to completely refurbish and build a bicycle, we are ready to help you get rolling!

The bike repair class does not have a set curriculum, but are conducted on a bike-by-bike basis so you get to work on what is wrong with your bike. We teach everything from fixing a flat to replacing your drive train. We stock all new & used parts to fix most bike repairs (cost of parts is not included in the course fee).

Unfortunately there are 3 things we can’t help you with during class:

• suspension overhauls
• hydraulic brake bleeding
• e-bike repairs
  

Age Restricions

We are happy to welcome people of all ages above 11 years. For kids ages 11 to 14 we require that they be accompained by an adult who will have to pay the workshop fee as well.

Accessibility

Recyclistas is located off the Galloping Goose near Uptown. It is easiest to access by bike - and we have lots of bike parking! Transit info (including distances from bus stop to venue) can be seen via google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/a2eM6pTncEL2

There is a limited amount of parking in front of Recyclistas, but sometimes it can be difficult to find space, especially from Monday-Friday during the day.

Our store-front is accessible via a ramp that is 67” wide and a door that swings outwards. The classes will be held in the basement, which is down a narrow set of stairs (20” high and 11” wide) with a hand rail that is 36” high. The roof is low as you enter the basement - watch your head on the last two steps!

There is a bathroom in the building.

Refund Policy

• You can request a refund through Eventbrite.
• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the appointment receive a full refund; those made less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded.. If you have any questions please call Recyclistas. (250 418-8867).
• We will not provide refunds for same day cancellations or no shows.
• Refunds will be provided in the same method as payment made.
