Synopsis: A father, a daughter, and the fallout when her words reach further than she intended. In the spirit of Annie Baker and Caryl Churchill, Waving Flags is an intimate new play that explores who owns the truth of a story, and how the houses we live in echo the institutions we don't.
Waving Flags is the pilot of ISTC's NewWorks Lab, a new program dedicated to developing works for the stage both locally and nationally. As part of the reading, audiences will be asked to participate in a short survey. There will also be a talkback with the cast, director, and writer after the reading. This feedback will fuel work development leading to a three-day workshop production of Waving Flags in January 2027. Come be a part of making the art!
