Catch the Summer sun before the Autumn by joining our popular 5-mile walk celebrating Newport's Nautical heroes and heroines with Antarctic stowaways, heroic rescuers, Hollywood liberties, pioneering women and even rogue torpedoes - discover their stories!

In the company of local historian and author Andrew Hemmings, you’ll join the Newport Transporter Project Team on a journey exploring Newport around the Transporter Bridge, uncovering the fascinating tales of 13 key people and intriguing incidents...

There will also be an opportunity to purchase copies of Andrew's book: 'Secret Newport' - an ideal gift.

We suggest parking at or around Mill Parade car park.
