Little Rebels is a lively, interactive concert for families, bringing to life the dramatic events of the Chartist movement through brand-new music and storytelling. Designed especially for children aged 7–11 (and their grown-ups!), the show invites audiences to listen, learn, and take part.
Meet John Frost - a local hero who stood up for what he believed in - and discover how ordinary people in Newport made history by demanding change. Through music, narration, and audience participation, you’ll explore big ideas in a fun and accessible way: What does it mean to be heard? How can small voices make a big difference? And why does our local history still matter today?
Performed by musicians from St Woolos Sinfonia, a vibrant mix of professional and highly skilled local players, Little Rebels is a chance for young people to experience live music up close, connect with their city’s past, and feel inspired to shape its future.
Come along, join in, and discover your inner rebel!
