Newport neighbors: Join us to hear what's happening in your neighborhood! This summer will bring a number of large projects to your area of our City and we encourage you to attend so you are informed on the upcoming projects and impacts. This work will bring with a number of road closures along Newport Way.
Staff will be present to deliver a presentation on upcoming projects, highlight potential challenges to commutes, and outline what's to come in 2025 and beyond.
After the presentation there is time for a Q&A session. Following questions, you are free to get up and explore the various tables set up with additional information on each project and focus on the topics that interest you most.
Topics will include:
-City projects’ construction schedules for spring/summer/fall of 2025
-Landslide repair project
-Sewer relocation project
-Planning work for Newport Way Corridor Road Improvement project (SR 900 to 54th) with anticipated construction in 2027
-Broad overview of Washington State Department of Transportation's (WSDOT) Fish Passage Project and its impacts in our community
