For this New Year’s Eve the sky is literally the limit, as we gather to ring in 2026 at Pioneer Courthouse Square. With live drone shows and a large-scale dance party, The Square will be THE spot to ring in the New Year. In partnership with the City of Portland, Prosper Portland’s Office of Events & Film, and True West Presents, The Square is proud to once again host a FREE community New Year’s Eve celebration in the heart of Downtown.
There will be two drone displays at The Square: a family-friendly drone show at 9:00pm with a final countdown drone show to usher in the New Year at Midnight. This year’s drone shows will be produced by Sky Elements; a world-renowned drone light show company that will bring the art of customized aerial performance with more than 200 drones to the heart of downtown.
Portland’s own Video Dance Attack will provide a video-based dance night featuring the hottest music and videos from the 80’s and beyond. Music videos are projected onto multiple large screens to provide a quality sound and light show in our City’s Living Room. This event is FREE to the public!
8:00pm: Video Dance Attack Party begins: Dance to the hits of the 80’s and beyond!
9:00pm: First Family-Friendly Drone Show Countdown
Midnight: Countdown Drone Show Begins
12:30: Party Wraps up!

People attending this year’s event are encouraged to take TriMet to The Square or to Park Smartly at one of the three Smart Park garages adjacent to The Square.
