New UVA Guided Tree Walk

Enjoy this fun and informative walk through beautiful surroundings and spring blooms as we discuss the history of the area and some specimen and native trees with Charlottesville Area Tree Steward Carol Wise.

Carol will share information about the value of biodiversity, tree identification, and specific qualities related to each tree discussed. This is an easy to moderate walk over both paved and lawn areas with some gently sloping. It is a high canopy walk, mostly shaded and with no traffic. The area is shared with UVA students, faculty and public.

We will meet in front of the UVA Chapel, located at 145 McCormick Road on the corner of University Avenue and McCormick Roads.

Parking is available at Central Grounds Garage, 400 Emmett Street S, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Limited to 15 adult participants.
