More updates - for New Town at St. Charles Events:
Duck Race WILL happen but ….. on the LAST day the pool is open - Labor Day at Shire Lane Pool at 9:00 am. Open to everyone. It will be simple ….. buy a duck, race a duck and if it wins, get a prize. Proceeds will go to BJC Foundation for Breast Cancer - and just in time to kick off Paint New Town Pink which is in October. We will not be soliciting sponsors but anyone who wants to sponsor will also be able to set up a booth at race - no sales just PR. And our ducks will be pink. Yay!
(Just in case anyone is wondering, we did advise the SCCC Church too). Every year we will do this and it will go to a different charity each year - next year will be Honor Flight for veterans.
Also you will be able to have your neighbor “quacked” (think of when we used to Flock homes with flamingos). But we will have a Mama duck and baby ducks to go in their yard (not real ones lol but pink ones of heavy plastic)- so cute! All proceeds to BJC Breast Cancer Foundation. Details to follow closer to event.
