An amazing way to experience New Orleans!About this Event
New Orleans Heritage Music Festival Trip (Jazz Fest) May 1st-4th 2026
We are teaming up with Dave Cervini's New York Social Nertwork for this group trip
The New Orleans Heritage Music Festival—often called Jazz Fest—is a multi-day outdoor music festival featuring 10 stages with 100's of performers across several acres, showcasing both legendary performers and emerging artists. Music styles include Jazz, Rock, Pop, R&B, Gospel, Blues, Reggae, Swing, and more. The Eagles are headling this weekend. See the full list for the weekend here.
It’s a calmer, safer, and more sophisticated way to experience New Orleans than Mardi Gras—while still delivering incredible energy, culture, and food.
This will be Dave's 19th year bringing groups to the fest, and it’s the perfect mix of iconic New Orleans sights and local, off-the-beaten-path experiences. You’ll have an SDSN host as your guide and activities planner for the weekend, ensuring great music, fun experiences, and some of the best food you’ll ever eat.
How It Works
Hotel
- We’ve reserved 9 rooms at the French Market Inn on Decatur Street, right in the heart of the French Quarter and close to everything.
- Rooms are shared (2 per room). If you prefer a single room, you may pay the single supplement.
- If sharing, we’ll pair you with someone compatible.
- The hotel has clean, comfortable rooms, authentic New Orleans charm, modern amenities, a pool, gas-lit exterior lamps, and an excellent staff. (You won’t be spending much time in the room anyway!)
Flights
- You’ll arrange your own airfare.
- Please arrive Friday anytime before 6pm.
- Concerts run Saturday and Sunday from noon–7:00 pm.
- Plan to depart on Monday.
- No discounts for early arrivals or late departures, though I’m happy to suggest extra activities if you extend your stay.
The Weekend Plan
- Friday: Meet the group for drinks, then head to a local restaurant for dinner and a weekend overview and introduction to the French Quarter.
- Saturday & Sunday: We’ll designate optional group meet-ups for breakfast, lunch, concerts, dinners, and nightlife.
- You’re free to join everything or explore on your own—this trip is flexible.
FAQs
Can I come alone?
Yes. Usually100% of attendees come solo.
What should I wear?
Dress for warm weather—days are usually in the 80s. Shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers are perfect. Bring something slightly nicer (but still casual) for evenings.

What else is there to do besides the concerts?
Plenty! There are hundreds of tours, river cruises, a casino, shopping, local clubs, and nonstop live music throughout the city.
How crazy is it?
As calm—or as wild—as you want. Bourbon Street is always lively, but it’s nothing like Mardi Gras crowds. Jazz Fest itself is relaxed, with seating and grassy areas at many stages. For major acts, expect to stand.
Is it safe?
Like anywhere—stay out of the bad areas and you’ll be fine. I’ll point out where to avoid, but it’s generally obvious.
Is this a singles trip?
Not officially, but most attendees are single. Come for the experience—especially with someone who knows the city well.
Is it like Mardi Gras or Woodstock?
No. It’s more mature, better organized, and far less crowded, with most attendees in their 30s–60s. If you want to party, there are plenty of opportunities—but it’s never out of control.
Is the price expensive?
For a Jazz Fest weekend in the French Quarter, absolutely not. Hotel prices skyrocket during festival weekends, and our location is walkable to almost everything (the festival is a short cab ride away). Part of the cost helps cover my expenses so I can be there to make your trip better.
