About this Event:

In order to meet the goal of Biliteracy, dual language programs are faced with the challenge of teaching comprehensive literacy in each program language. This two-day online workshop will help educators with addressing English literacy instruction within a biliteracy program, focusing on how English differs from more transparent languages and how to attend to all components of comprehensive literacy, even in 80/20 programs, supporting the research of the Science of Reading. Bilingual teachers who have reservations about English literacy instruction will come away with practical applications, and two teacher model teams will learn important considerations for their literacy instruction collaboration.

Join us for this two-day, dynamic online learning experience designed for educators working in:

  • Transitional bilingual programs
  • Dual language programs
