About this Event:
Sharing students and planning for biliteracy when one teacher teaches one language, and the other teacher teaches another language can be highly successful and effective. This one-day online session provides considerations, tools, and examples of how teachers can best plan for instruction, communicate with parents, co-create structures and collaborate while sharing students.
Join us for this one-day, dynamic online learning experience designed for K-5 educators working in:
- Transitional bilingual programs
- Dual language programs
- One-way and two-way immersion programs
- Two-teacher models
This institute includes synchronous (live) sessions via Zoom and access to optional asynchronous (pre-recorded) webinars, which will be shared during the live sessions to support and deepen your learning experience.
As a result of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify and describe strategies for looking at students across both of their languages
- Explore structures that lead to successful collaboration within a two-teacher model
- Create tools to use together as teachers plan for instruction and assessment of students, communication with parents, and collaboration in general
