About this Event
Following the success of our series of short talks last year on St Albans buildings, we plan to present a second set of short talks at Dagnall Street Baptist Church on the morning of Saturday 21 March.
The theme will be new insights into St Albans history.
Subjects include:
The Abbey Gatehouse/Graffiti
St Albans 1539-1575
Sir Richard Lee
Francis Bacon and St Albans
George Hibbert of Little Munden - a supporter of slavery
The St Albans hat trade
St Albans as a city
St Albans School's involvement in World War II
There is no charge, but to manage numbers for health and safety reasons please register your intention to attend by clicking on the button above right.
Everyone is welcome to attend, so do tell friends and family.
Doors will open at 10.00am, with the talks starting at 10.30am and finishing at 12 noon.
Please enter the church via the main steps at the front, or via the slope down from the car park if you need to use the lift.
