Historic Anlaby estate dating from 1840, the former home of the wealthy Dutton pastoral family, is up for sale.
Who knows if public access will be available in the future?
So we have arranged a lunch in the old Anlaby stables and a tour of the interior of the house with the current owners (included in the course fee).
Before we reach Anlaby for lunch we will explore two early German Lutheran settlements - Freeling and picturesque Nain.
We will also look at old buildings in Daveyston which has close connections with Nain.
We will return via Kapunda with some free time here.
Extensive history notes will be provided.
This Heritage Day Tour will depart from the WEA Centre at 9:00am sharp and will return at approximately 5:35pm.
