Looking to learn Latin Social Dancing?
You have two options: Bachata or Salsa.
What is Bachata?
Bachata is a slower and more relaxed style compared to Salsa. Every Salsa night includes Bachata songs which is why most people learn both. It helps with musicality, body movement and taking a break from the faster Salsa tracks.
Whether you have danced before or you are brand new, Bachata suits all levels and all ages. You can join on your own or with a partner. Everyone is welcome.
At Manly Salsa we focus on community, connection and creating a fun and relaxed environment where anyone can learn. Our Bachata classes are social, easy to follow and designed to help you feel confident with rhythm, timing and partner work.

Thursday Bachata Schedule
Level 1 @ 7:00pm - 60mins
Level 2 @ 8:00pm - 60mins
Level 3 @ 7:00pm - 60mins
Level 4 @ 8:00pm - 60mins
Level BTS @ 6:00pm - 60mins
Student Social @ 9:00pm - 30mins
All Levels Explained:
Level 1 - Absolute Beginners; learn basics, turns, open-close, wraps, change of place, open / closed position.
Level 2 - Minimun experience 10 classes; Moderna focus with Dominican Footwork and minor elements of sensual Bachata.
This level contains 3 x unique syllabuses (3 x 5 week courses) everyone needs to complete before moving up to level 3.
Level 3 - Minimum experience 25 classes; Moderna, Dominican and Sensual Bachata. This level contains 4 x unqiue syllabusess (4 x 5 week courses) everyone needs to complete before moving up to level 4.
Level 4 - Minimum experience all levels 1 to 3 completed.
This is the first course which is highly focused on Sensual Bachata with strong Dominican and Moderna evements.
Level BTS - "Bachata Technique & Skills" Course is for students from Level 3 and up who want to improve their footwork, body movement, styling, concepts and overall technique. Also includes partnerwork but more solo dance skills focused.
Student Social - This is a 30 minute non-stop Bachata social for our current students. We highly recommend joining this every Thursday as social dancing really consolidates your learning and it's fun spending time with your classmates playing with the moves you've just learned.
