Neurodivergent Kids Book Club
Schedule
Sat Oct 11 2025 at 02:00 pm to 03:00 pm
UTC-07:00Location
500 College St SE, Lacey, WA, United States, Washington 98503 | Lacey, WA
This group meets in the Lacey Timberland Library's meeting room on the second Saturday of each month from 2-3 pm (with occasional exceptions). Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stay nearby, but to leave the room if it is safe to do so, as a way of encouraging the kids' social interaction and participation.
Everyone gets a free copy of the book each month, provided with support from the Friends of the Lacey and Olympia Library groups, and there are plenty of accessible seating and sensory aids to help participants self-regulate during the meetings, donated by our partners at Sensory Tool House.
Registration is required at https://timberland.bibliocommons.com/v2/events?q=neurodivergent%20kids
Please contact Naomi at the Lacey Library ([email protected]) or Freddy at the Olympia Library ([email protected]) with any questions or requests for accommodation. Once successfully registered, you will receive an email with information on how to get a copy of this month's book.
*We are using neurodivergent (ND) broadly, encompassing anyone whose mind functions significantly differently from what is considered "typical" in society. Not everyone who could benefit from participating in this book club will identify with the neurodivergent label, and no diagnosis is needed in order to participate.
