Neponset River Library Build + Zine Workshop

Help us to assemble three free little libraries to be posted along the Neponset River Greenway and make your own zine!

Join us for a Little Free Library build event outdoors along the Neponset River, accompanied by a zine-making session! During this event, we will:

• Paint and assemble three little libraries that will be posted along the Neponset River Greenway in the coming year.
• Create original zines exploring themes of environmental justice, climate advocacy, extreme weather, etc. to stock the little libraries.
• Accept book donations of all reading levels to start off our little libraries fully stocked
• Learn more about NePRWA's work to advocate and care for the Neponset River and surrounding neighborhoods & communities
• Enjoy food from Umami-Tsunami in Dorchester, MA (vegetarian options available)

Event Date: Friday, June 26 @ 5:30pm - 8:30pm

• Food will be served at the beginning of the event and will be remain available while supplies last
• Drop-ins are welcome, please feel free to participate in any part of the event you'd like
• Ideal for ages 18+

Event Location: Ryan’s Playground (meet near Harvest River Bridge) @ 350 River Street, Mattapan, MA 02126

• In the case of inclement weather, the event will be hosted indoors - exact location TBA. We will email you with updates.
• Ride up on your bike, walk from the nearest T station (Mattapan Station off the Red line trolley), or utilize the small parking lot/street parking available or at the park end of Meadowbank Avenue.
• We will be outdoors on the lawn next to Harvest River Bridge under a tent with some tables and seating. Restrooms access at Ryan's Playground.
• Consider bringing anything else you may need to feel comfortable - extra water, sun lotion, bug spray, lawn chairs, layers of clothing, etc.
