This family workshop is a full‑day creative adventure that blends storytelling, nature exploration, and hands‑on making. Designed for families with children aged 5–16, it invites participants to step into the landscape through all their senses — listening, touching, noticing, imagining. Together, families will ethically forage natural materials, create animal masks, sculpt woodland creatures in clay, and take part in a story‑led walk to a local sculpture. The day ends with illustrated map‑making and a joyful sharing circle. Children and adults alike will learn to observe nature more closely, express themselves creatively, build confidence through imaginative play, and develop a deeper sense of place and belonging.

Nature Makers is a joyful, sensory‑rich family workshop that invites children and their grown‑ups to step into a day of making, exploring, imagining, and noticing the world around them. Blending storytelling, ethical foraging, hands‑on craft, and a guided walk to a local sculpture, this immersive experience encourages families to see the landscape through fresh eyes — and through the eyes of the animal “guides” they create together.

Across the day, families will listen, touch, gather, sculpt, draw, and wander. They’ll make masks from natural textures, shape woodland creatures in clay, and create illustrated maps that capture their own journey. The workshop nurtures curiosity, confidence, and connection — to nature, to creativity, and to each other.
