Access to Writing Workshop
We are delighted to welcome back local writer and published performance poet Amanda Crundall for creative writing and poetry workshop activities, poetry reading and open mic.
Amanda has recently published her second poetry collection ' The Emboldened Heart' and will read some of her own poems. There will also be an opportunity to take to the floor yourself and share your own poetry or prose. Please note this is not compulsory and you are very welcome just to sit and enjoy everyone else’s poetry.
For participants aged 16+
Amanda Crundall is a writer, published poet and a seasoned spoken word performer who combines writing and performing with being a busy working mum.
She rediscovered her creative self through poetry and her debut poetry collection, ‘Heart on Her Sleeve’ (2024) shares hope, tenacity and compassion, inspiring others to write for their own mental health and wellbeing.
Her latest collection is 'The Emboldened Heart' (2026):
'A thoughtful and quietly powerful book that weaves poetry and short stories into one emotionally resonant journey'.
'With themes of self-worth, identity, childhood, womanhood and longing, Amanda's voice is both lyrical and grounded, revealing a writer unafraid to look inward and speak truthfully'.
