Step back into the past! Experience the 19th century tradition of scientific naturalists observing nature in the field and drawing what we see and hear. Birds and native plants will be our focus because where one finds native plants there will be birds and butterflies. You'll learn the basics of drawing birds, butterflies and plants. Your instructor will provide a variety of media such as colored pencils, charcoal, graphite and pastels. You will only need to bring a a sketchbook or journal with ringed or bound pages of any size and a lawn chair.
Location: 2 acres of prairie, demo gardens, and woods at the Columbus Garden School
Class fee $35
INSTRUCTOR: Sheila Fagan has successfully taught art for more than forty years to people of all ages and her passion for teaching burns brighter than ever.
