Where do all the animals go when the snow falls? βοΈπΏοΈKick off the New Year at the Nature Center! For this first Friday in January, we are excited to expand our "Nature Fun with Little Ones" program to include school-age children while winter break is still in session. Bring the whole family for a deep dive into the cozy world of hibernation.
Our morning of discovery includes:
π Storytime: A journey through the winter woods to learn how local wildlife survives the big chill.
π¨ Age-Specific Crafts: We will have two different craft options tailored to both our "little ones" and our older "school-age" explorers.
π Large Motor Activity: Get moving as we act out the high-energy (and low-energy!) cycles of animals in winter.
This program is proudly presented by the Master Gardeners of the University of Illinois Extension.
Come explore the "refining influence" of the winter woods and help your children cultivate a lifelong love for nature study.
Cost: FREE
Registration: No pre-registration required.
Ages: Toddlers through School-Age children (and their caregivers!)
